About Us!

Mentoring Academy works on reducing the number of individuals who are involved or about to be involved in any criminal activities, thus not only aiming to reduce gang related crimes including drug dealing but more violent crimes, we do this by taking them of the street and helping them build the community into a place where residents feel safe going about their daily activities, we do this through our services provided by empowering our individuals. 

The key services we offer are: 

• Mentoring 
• Employability skills – CV writing and interview preparation. 
• Access to work.
• Group seminars run by ex-gang members.
• Information, advice, and guidance – Matrix Standard approved. 
• Interventions and exit strategy planning.
• Formal qualifications offered, such as Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer courses.

In 2022 we saved our local boroughs (Enfield, Barnet, and Brent) an estimated £5.4 million with our projects and their outcomes. This was calculated by using the Social Economic Impact Calculator.

Within our framework we evaluate and quality assure all of our delivery programmes and make sure that the user journey is a positive one and that the objectives it sets out are delivered. Forming a Community Interest Company in this way ensures that the main objective is to keep giving back to and supporting the community that it serves.
